Luna Llena is our favorite new café and boutique shop in Manuel Antonio. They have an simple yet incredible food menu designed by one of Manuel Antonio's best chefs. They serve delicious coffee and espresso and provide a cute and comfortable air conditioned space that has great wifi for working on the go. The boutique has a wide variety of accessories, jewelry, art, and clothing that includes hand woven and naturally died pieces and a swim ware line that is unique, natural, and extremely stylish. If your looking for coffee, clothing, or a bite, this should be your first stop.
Featuring two convenient locations at the Marina and in central Manuel Antonio, Jungle Avenue is one of the best spot to pick up stylish clothing and accessories. Their clothing is all handmade from quality materials and suppliers. They feature incredible bathing suits made by Jungle Sol and other beautiful clothing that is perfect for the Manuel Antonio climate and vibe. They sell mostly women's clothes but some men's items are also available.
Located under Restaurante Agua Azul in central Manuel Antonio, Indigo is a beautiful boutique clothing store and another great spot for clothing and accessories. They also feature incredible bathing suits by Jungle Sol and provide girls with the perfect items they need if their luggage got lost during travel.
Studio 24 is a small clothing shop located in central Quepos that specializes in a variety of clothing. They carry everything from newborn onesies to adult clothing and accessories. This is a great place to grab a baby shower gift or to grab a nice summer dress.
Located in central Quepos across from the park, Faraz Ropa Americano is a large store with a variety of clothing options. The clothing they sell is advertised as American clothing and there you will find a lot of stylish gear for all ages and sizes.
Located in Quepos near the soccer field and on the road that goes to Manuel Antonio, find this boutique bikini shop.
If your looking for surf gear or a surf shop that may have the clothing you desire, visit central Quepos in the area of Ave. central and Calle 2. That area has multiple surf shops and is a great area to check out if you are in need of clothing, shoes, or accessories.

If you are searching for souvenirs, you are in luck. Souvenir shops are everywhere and normally sell very similar items. Our favorite shops can be found in both Manuel Antonio and Quepos. If you looking to save money or barter, look for pop-up souvenir shops near the beach. Pop-up shops have less overhead so it's easier for them to give you a good deal.

A great place to barter or find discounted souvenir items. These pop-ups are normally found at or around the beach near Playa Espadilla south. They become more prevalent near the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park.
Find a few beautiful souvenir shops across from the Quepos waterfront near the Best Western Hotel. They have quality items and good prices.

Located in central Manuel Antonio, Sloth Souvenir is a chain souvenir shop that can be found throughout Costa Rica and will have all the most popular items.
The San Jose Airport is home to the best possible souvenir shop, making it super easy to buy gifts when you exit the country. Plan to spend a little extra money for this convenience. Some things are normally priced and other things can be much more expensive.
In 2006 the majority of all supermarkets in Costa Rica were purchased by Walmart. While most of these stores are Walmart-owned, it is important to know that the stores themselves are very different from one another and seem to target different markets.
BM Super Market is located off the Highway 3km from Quepos. BM is considered one of the higher-end markets and this is notable from the time you enter. BM most resembles a US supermarket, carries many high-end items, and is always very clean and well-staffed. This is our favorite supermarket.
Not owned by Walmart and located in central Quepos, Super Mini Price is a great option for groceries and household items alike. This store is a mini version of Price Mart that can be found in San Jose and it carries all the same items. This is one of our favorite stores and has a lot of really great high-quality items. This is the only grocery store that carries Tortillas Helen, fresh, locally made flour tortillas with the favor of Mexico.
Pali's are the smaller and more basic supermarkets in Costa Rica. There are normally one or two Pali's per neighborhood or town. They carry almost all the necessities but you won't find many high-quality items like fine cheeses or meats.
Maxi Pali is located off the highway across the way from BM supermarket. This supermarket is most similar to a Walmart and carries a large variety of items. Here you can buy a tv and refrigerator, and all of your groceries all in one stop. This store does not have high-quality items like fine cheeses or meats.
Super Jordix is a nice grocery store centrally located in Quepos. They carry all the necessities and will also deliver.
Super Joseph is centrally located in Manuel Antonio and is a nice store for just about everything you need. Expect prices to be a bit higher because it is the biggest and best grocery store in Manuel Antonio.
Super Pura Vida has many locations throughout Manuel Antonio. While each store may vary in what they carry, they are typically more like convenience stores. Plan to not see as many fresh items.
If you are shopping for household items in Manuel Antonio you have a variety of options. We define household items as items for your home. Things like trash cans, coffee makers, sheets, bathroom accessories, etc.
Super Mini Price is a one-stop shop for almost all the household items you could need. This modern and well-equipped store is a small version of Price Mart that can be found in larger cities and is similar to Costco in the USA. This store has high-quality household items but you can also find a huge variety of quality grocery items.
Maxi Pali is the most similar store to a Walmart that we have in the area and is a good option for buying bulk and household items.
